Hello, for those of you who know me, unlucky and for those of you who don’t, I hope you’ll bare with Jerome and I and follow our journey across Asia, Australia, New Zealand and wherever else we end up. In this short statement I am meant to describe myself, which is proving harder than I first anticipated. How can I explain my good and bad attributes without coming across as a complete hand job? Instead I’ve decided to give you a small insight into my beliefs, hopes, dreams and philosophy, here goes.
Life is a search. We are all searching for something. Personally my main search or ambition is to find my ‘soulmate’. To be in love with someone who is in love with me and raise a happy family. I am so looking forward to settling down, having children, to be a father and to be loved but you cant determine when this is going to happen so I try to live life to the full while my search continues. I also think life is about gaining experience from past events in your life and trying to become a better person because of them. If something negative happens in your life, learn from it and turn it into a positive. I love my family and friends and they bring out the best inside of me. To be surrounded by the people I love in this world is the greatest feeling I have experienced. I will miss you all!
All I expect from people is honesty and trust, whether it be a partner, friend or family member. These two words are thrown about too often and too few many people don’t respect the meaning of honesty and trust. As long as you tell the truth you are being true to yourself and other parties and that is so important. People who are arrogant or cold, I believe are just shielding themselves from their true feelings and use these traits as defence mechanisms. Saying that I do try to see the best in everyone and can be naïve and mislead quite easily, too trustworthy I guess. Best I keep my wits about me in Thailand, a firm handshake to the crutch area should sort out the men from the women! Anyway life is too short to mess with other people. I just want to live my life to the best of my ability and lets see what happens. God, reading that back I sound like a proper boring sensitive bastard. I should stress that I do also like to go out, get alarmingly drunk and make a total fool out of myself and I’m sure people who know me can vouch for that so there should be some interesting stories to tell along the way if I can remember them. Below is a list of my ten favourites in nine different categories. I’m sure this will tell you more about me than the above.
