There are hundreds of cases, skins, covers and god-knows-what-else out there you can stick on your iPod to sacrifice its sleek shape for protection, but newly-founded company 'Pimp-My-iPod.com' offers a simple solution allowing you to have your cake and eat it too...
Pimp-My-iPod.com have released a range of 23 ipod skins which they call 'decals'. Made from paper-thin vinyl, they do not alter the shape of the iPod at all, yet still offer protection from scratching, and an awesome design. Some of these designs can be seen to the right:
 As you can see - even close up they look like the iPod was made like that!
A spokesperson for the company claimed that the product 'would in all probability last far longer than you would want to keep your iPod'.
Retailing for just £5 on their website, they are half the price of competitor ''Gelaskins'', and their range of designs seems to be far more appealing (at least to us!), offering a range of music-inspired designs from Grunge to Retro.
Having tested the product, we were pleasantly surprised by how well it stood up to the company's claims. As promised, it is extremely scratch resistant - nothing short if digging into it with a compass was enough to even dent it - yes...it will survive years of abuse by whatever sharp items you may have in your pocket no problem.
 We were also amazed by the veracity of the claim 'leaves no residual adhesive when removed'. Although companies such as DecalGirl and GelaSkins have claimed this, we found this to be totally wrong on testing, but the Pimp-My-iPod skins really leave no trace once removed from the iPod (not that you''d ever want to remove it of course).
Conclusion
For £5 these are not only the best value 'decals' on the market, but in our opinion they are also the best - in terms of design, they have a smaller range than competior DecalGirl but their range is of a much better quality in terms of design. Secondly, in terms of the actual product quality they excel again for the reasons stated above.
