Are you due a Tax Refund from the Inland Revenue’s £300 Million a year Tax Error? Thousands of students are losing out on nearly £300 Million a year because the Inland Revenue is deducting too much tax.
The National Audit Office has revealed that money has being wrongly taken through the PAYE system with ‘significant and widespread errors’ resulting in employees taking £295 million too much which was ‘potentially refundable’ to the people concerned.
David de Souza, the founder of Tax Fix, explains:
“If your tax affairs are uncomplicated and you earn a constant yearly salary, then PAYE will usually take off the right amount of tax. Problems can arise, when, for example, you move from a job to a pension, stop working to look after children, or only earn money during the summer holidays”.
For those who find dealing with the Inland Revenue a little intimidating, help is at hand. Tax Fix, based in Wymondham, has created a ‘No Refund, No Fee’ service which deals with all the tax work to reclaim any tax refund that might be due from the Inland Revenue.
David de Souza explains further:
“The government is making little effort to give this money back to tax payers. The Inland Revenue states that the onus is on the tax payer to check that they have not overpaid tax. The people most likely to be affected are low income individuals, who are most in need.
I am pleased to announce that the service which we have recently launched has helped a number of people get a tax rebate and we are sending out an increasing number of refunds every week.”
