Right lets talk money! The best thing is to be prepared, don't take one form of money with you take a mixture of cash (notes and coins) and travellers cheques and order them from your bank way in advance.

Don't keep your credit cards, cash and travellers cheques along with other important document all together in case they are stolen or you loose them and make sure you keep a record of your account numbers and emergency telephone for cancellations etc. separate.
Many hotels have safes but not all budget accommodation does so if all fails you can usually rent a safe from a bank for a small fee but for a big piece of mind.

* Leave a credit card at home with your family or friends in case of an emergency.

* Carry only as much money as you need for the day.
* If you have to carry a lot of money ask your partner or a friend to carry some for you.
* Use a money belt or secure inside pocket.
* Leave the rest in a hotel safe.
* The euro came into effect on 1 January 2002.
Credit card tips:
* Check the expiry dates.
* Make a separate note of their numbers.
* Don't carry all your cards with you - leave at least one in the hotel safe.
* Make a note of the emergency telephone number for cancellation. Also consider a credit card protection policy.
* Check your credit card is accepted in the country you are visiting - in some countries you may not be able to use any credit cards.
