Sitting doing nothing on a long plain journey can lead to 'deep vein thrombosis', which is basically a blood clot in the leg so:
you have a few choices- you can either wear a pair of compression socks like the fetching ones below or make sure that when you are on the plane you move your feet around or get up and walk around regularly if you can.
Oh and probably the hardest thing try and cut down the alcoholic drinks to avoid dehydration.
